LAFACE & LACECA to hold a One Day Exam Prep
Training
Greetings!
LAFACE & LACECA will hold a one day Exam Preparation Training for
those who are interested to the City's civil service exam for Sr.
Management Analyst, Sr. Personnel Analyst, Management Analyst and
Management Assistant. The main objective of LAFACE is to foster
advancement of Filipinos in City Service. The schedule is as follows:
WHEN : Saturday - March 3, 2012
TIME: 7:30 (registration)
8:00 to 4:00 p.m.
WHERE: DWP Cafeteria
TRAINING FEE : LAFACE & LACECA Members - Free
NON MEMBERS: $25.00 per person
Lunch will be provided
Deadline to register : February 27, 2012
We can only accommodate a certain number of trainees. Please register
early. Final confirmation of details will be sent with the flyer late next
week.

Los Angeles City Council Honors Philippines during the
Independence Day celebration

On June 10, 2011, the Los Angeles City Council presented a resolution
proclaimed the month of June as Philippine Independence Month to the
Filipino-American Community in Los Angeles.
The Resolution was presented by Councilmembers Tom LaBonge and
Richard Alarcon. Consul General May Jo Bernardo Aragon received the
resolution.
The event was attended by LAFACE President Ms. Cora Aragon
Soriano, Walnut Mayor Antonio Cartagena and Cerritos Councilmember
Mark Pulido
LAFACE President Cora Soriano expressed her gratitude to all board
officers, members, supporters and volunteers that made the first joint
venture of Los Angeles Filipino Association of City Employees
(LAFACE) and Los Angeles County Filipino American Employee
Association (LACFAEA) a huge success.
